Please be advised that this is a personal blog. The views on this site are strictly my own and in no way reflect on the views of my employer/family/friends/pets. They are spontaneous, unproofed, unrevised, and corrected afterward only when necessary to address mistakes that grossly affect the intent.

It would be distinctly unwise — not to mention uncharitable — to play connect-the-dots with my physical life and work and my ‘life of the mind’, scanty though either might be. My attitude at and towards work, my reaction to ideas, the length and tone of my discussion at the coffee pot, and the quality and quantity of my response to anyone in any medium are probably not tied to anything read here — at least not in a way that you will be able to confidently assume without sharing years of beating around with a foam bat in psychotherapy and the bills that come with it.

In addition, my thoughts and opinions change from time to time; I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open (enough) mind. This blog is intended to provide a semi-permanent point-in-time snapshot and manifestation of the various memes running around in my brain, and as such, any thoughts and opinions expressed within out-of-date posts may not be the same, nor even similar, to those I may hold today.

That said, one aspect of aforementioned thoughts and opinions will forever go unchanged: I do not on any level possess a single romantic gene in my body, therefore I am highly uncomfortable with public displays of affection and I am unable to respond appropriately, or at any rate with expected measure, to any form of romance-based affection, be it written, verbal or theatrical.

And if this still isn’t enough for you, then I suggest you rein in your curiosity.
